Julie Hermann has not considered resigning as Rutgers' incoming athletic director following reports that  16 years ago she humiliated and emotionally abused players while coaching Tennessee's women's volleyball team.

Rutgers University is again caught in the glare of scandal as Julie Hermann, the Athletic Director hired to clean up the last scandal has come under fire for her past coaching style.

The woman hired to clean up Rutgers' scandal-scarred athletic program quit as Tennessee's women's volleyball coach 16 years ago after her players submitted a letter complaining she ruled through humiliation, fear and emotional abuse, the Star-Ledger reported on its website.
