The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection has established a new low standard for the presence of perflournated compounds in Jersey's drinking water.
After the DEP closed over a dozen beaches on Thursday because of garbage that washed on shore municipalities went to work cleaning up the sand in order to reopen on Friday.
