NJ Man Accused of Stealing the Identities of 15 People
The New Jersey Office of the Insurance Fraud Prosecutor has obtained a state grand jury indictment charging an Essex County man with stealing and trafficking identities of 15 people who had applied for credit at the used car dealership where he worked. State Attorney General Jeff Cheisa made the announcement today.
East Orange Man Convicted of Christmas Eve Murder
An Essex County jury has convicted an East Orange man of killing a grocery store employee in Newark on Christmas Eve 2011. After deliberating for just over three hours, 20-year-old Jaworski Sneed was convicted of murder and weapons charges in connection with the death of 47-year-old Daryl Logan.
1,700 Firearms Collected at Latest Gun Buyback in Essex
More than 1,700 guns were turned in by Essex County residents during a state-sponsored gun buyback event held last week. To be precise, 1,770 guns were turned in including about 70 firearms that are illegal to own because they feature unlawfully high ammunition capacities, have sawed-off barrels or are otherwise modified.
