British media reported that the "I Dreamed a Dream" singer was led away by officers after creating a disturbance at the airport on Monday.

London's Metropolitan Police said officers were called "around 1:20pm (1220 GMT) on Monday April 25 to a lounge in Terminal 5, Heathrow to reports of a distressed woman. Officers attended and spoke with the woman."

Spokeswoman Nicola Phillips said Boyle was at home in Scotland Tuesday and "she is fine."

The 55-year-old singer was diagnosed with Asperger's a few years ago, and Phillips said the syndrome had "a huge part to play in the situation."
