FAIRFIELD TOWNSHIP (Cumberland) — State police are investigating the murder of a Bridgeton man after being called to the Fairfield scene early Saturday morning.

According to the police Vincent Horns, 22, of Bridgeton was found with "several gunshot wounds," after responding to a call at the intersection of Stewart Avenue and Buckshutem Road.

Witnesses had told police the man was seen laying in the road, and Horns was pronounced dead at the scene.

The case is being investigated by the New Jersey State Police Homicide South Unit, Troop "A" Investigations Office, the Crime Scene Investigations Unit, troopers from the Bridgeton Station, and the Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Bridgeton Station at 856-451-0101. Information can be provided anonymously.
