South Jersey’s Turn For Snow

It will be south Jersey's turn to get a taste of winter with snow expected to leave several inches starting Thursday afternoon.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for a fast moving storm is expected to drop 4-6 inches of heavy, wet snow for several hours starting Thursday afternoon into the evening in the southeast corner of the state including Ocean, Atlantic, Cape May, Cumberland counties and the southern end of Burlington County. The most snow will fall in southern Atlantic County and Cape May County with up to six inches expected.

Most of central New Jersey will receive 1-2 inches of snow with lesser amount to the west and north.

The snow will stick to tree limbs and power lines but there is no threat of coastal flooding or damaging winds. Temperatures over all of New Jersey will fall below freezing as the snow ends.

A storm on Tuesday night and Wednesday night left a 2-4 inch mix of snow and sleet in north Jersey.
