With the exception of Millville, Cumberland County's 71, everyone else yesterday only reached the mid to upper 60s.  Newark has had a rainfall record.  1.62 inches fell there, which broke the old record set back in the 1985 time period of 1.12 inches.

We'll have some showers around today, with a few heavy ones this morning in spots.  Some showers are likely to be around during the rest of the day with highs from 68 to 72, but cooler near the ocean.

A leftover shower chance, especially the first part of the night, may tend to taper off later.  Watch for some fog with temperatures in the upper 50s to around 60.

More clouds than sun tomorrow and Thursday with a few showers possible either day.  Low to mid 70s for tomorrow, and mid to upper 70s for Thursday, but cooler both days near the ocean.

Temperatures should be at or above 80 by the time we head into Friday with still a shower or thunderstorm chance in the afternoon.

The long holiday weekend looks alright.  Temperatures could be in the 80s away from the ocean with some luck.

We also have a shower or thunderstorm chance Saturday and perhaps later on Memorial Day.

More on the long holiday weekend weather in the days ahead.
