New Jersey's northern counties will get a small taste of winter Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.

The National Weather Service has revised its  Winter Weather Advisory for rain & sleet to begin falling late Tuesday night in Hunterdon, Somerset, Warren &  Morris counties that will change to a wintry mix of snow, sleet & freezing rain overnight with changing to all rain in the morning. An accumulation of 1 inch or less is expected.

The snow wiill fall for a longer period in Sussex County dropping 2-4 inches before changing to freezing rain by Wednesday morning.

The heaviest frozen precipitation is expected to fall during the morning commute on Wednesday. Heavy rain will fall in the rest of the state.

The storm is coming from a very complex low pressure approaching from the southwest tonight.
