Emergency officials  say the accident happened at about 11:45 a.m. Saturday in Doylestown Township near the intersection of Route 313 and the Route 611 bypass.

The Federal Aviation Administration said preliminary information indicated that the twin-engine plane had taken off from Doylestown Airport, turned southwest and hit power lines before crashing. The FAA is investigating.

Officials said the pilot, believed to be the only person aboard, was flown to Temple University Hospital, where a condition report was not immediately available.

No injuries on the ground were reported.
