Should NJ have an unattended child law?
Jim has been discussing a woman who is facing charges after leaving her children unattended while running into a store.
There is currently no specific law on the books for a child left in the car but does have an “endangering the welfare of a minor” statute, which encompasses almost any circumstance involving improper care of children.
Should NJ have a specific law for children left in the car by their parents or does the endangering the welfare of a minor cover it enough?
