Six firefighters were injured while battling a multialarm fire that damaged a Jersey City home and three other attached residences.Fire officials tell The Jersey Journal that the blaze apparently broke out around 9:20 a.m. Tuesday in a wall of the two-story home. The fire quickly spread through the home and to the other buildings, but was brought under control around 10:20 a.m.

One firefighter suffered chest pains and smoke inhalation, while another slipped and sprained his knee and the third injured his back when he fell through the roof. Details on the injuries suffered by the three other firefighters were not immediately disclosed, but the injuries were not considered serious.

No residents were injured.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
