The Rockets (3-5, 2-3) gave themselves a chance at a state playoff berth by knocking off the Lancers (3-5, 2-4), as Raritan rallied from an early 14-0 hole and capped the win when junior quarterback Riley Sullivan hit junior Colby Jones with a 2-yard touchdown pass on fourth-and-goal with 45 seconds left in the game for a 23-14 lead.

Sullivan threw three touchdown passes in the win, including a 25-yarder to James Wines and a 32-yard scoring pass to Dylan Dewysockie. Jones also had a blocked field goal with Raritan up by two in the fourth quarter, and the Rockets’ defense registered six sacks in the win.

St. John Vianney took a 14-0 lead on a 66-yard touchdown pass by Billy DeMato to wideout Julanee Prince and a 77-yard touchdown run by Matt Falco in the second quarter before Raritan scored 23 unanswered points. Prince also had an 18-yard touchdown catch as time expired for the final margin.
