Class A Central
Manasquan 21, St. John Vianney 14
Junior running back James McAlary ran for 92 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries, including a 28-yard score with 3:30 left in the third quarter for a 21-7 lead, as the Warriors (3-1, 2-1) held off the Lancers (1-3, 0-3).
Senior tailback Joe Murphy added a 1-yard touchdown run and had 82 yards rushing on 16 carries before leaving the game in the fourth quarter with an injury.
Senior quarterback Billy DeMato ran for a 2-yard touchdown and also threw a 14-yard touchdown to wideout Julanee Prince that cut it to 21-14 with 8:06 left in the game. The Lancers drove to Manasquan's 20-yard line in the final seconds, but MacAlary broke up a pass on fourth-and-6 from the 19-yard line with 28.2 seconds left to seal the win.
Monmouth 21, Holmdel 13
A 5-yard touchdown run by Eli Velez with 1:16 left in the game gave the Falcons (2-1, 1-0) a 21-7 lead and they held on to beat the Hornets (1-3, 0-2).
A 2-yard touchdown run by Holmdel's Matt Dixon cut it to 21-13 with 42 seconds left in the game, and then the Hornets recovered an onside kick. They drove to Monmouth's 7-yard line before an interception in the end zone as time expired helped the Falcons tie their win total from all of last season.
Isaiah Searight added a 1-yard touchdown run and quarterback James Green had a 10-yard touchdown run in the first half before leaving the game with an injury.
Adam Ibrahim had a 30-yard fumble return for a touchdown in the third quarter to tie the game at 7-7 for Holmdel.

Brick Mem. 14, TR East 10
Connor Owen had a 7-yard touchdown run and Rob Triano added a 10-yard score as the Mustangs (2-2, 1-2) took a 14-7 lead at the half and held on to knock off the Raiders (0-4, 0-3).
Dom Spalletta had a 46-yard touchdown run and Jerry Caporale hit a 27-yard field goal in the loss for Toms River East.
Nonconference
Shore 45, South River 0
The Blue Devils (3-1) routed the Rams (3-1) to hand them their first loss as senior quarterback Matt Muh threw a pair of touchdown passes to Cole Barrale and Mike Moore returned an interception, his third of the season, for a 50-yard touchdown.
Junior Jake Monteiro added a field goal and was 6-for-6 on extra points, while the defense registered four interceptions and a fumble recovery.
Keyport 14, Middlesex 7
Senior quarterback Alex Thomson scored on a 2-yard sneak and sophomore fullback Ky'Sun Pryor added a short touchdown run as the Red Raiders (3-1) took a 14-0 halftime lead on their way to beating the Blue Jays (1-3).
