Rutgers, a perennial NCAA tournament staple that finished seventh in the Big East this season, drew a No. 6 seed on Monday and will take on Gonzaga in Spokane, Wash., on Saturday.

Rutgers, which went 22-9 and finished the regular season on a four-game winning streak, will compete out of the Kingston Region.

It defeated Marquette, 52-43, in the Big East tournament, before losing to Connecticut, 49-34, in the league quarterfinals.

Gonzaga, a No. 11 seed out of the West Coast Conference, finished in first place in the league, going 14-2. Gonzaga went 26-5 overall.
