Rutgers may have lost coach Greg Schiano, but the Scarlet Knights didn't lose the recruiting class he put together.

Rutgers announced Wednesday that only one of its pre-commitments changed his mind and did not submit a National Letter of Intent. Sixteen of the 17 recruits upheld their promise, while one decided to sign with Boston College.

A total of 19 players agreed to play for new coach Kyle Flood, who was personally involved in recruiting six of those. Of them, five are offensive linemen, Flood's previous position as Schiano's assistant.

Heading the class is Don Bosco Prep defensive lineman Darius Hamilton, rated by Rivals.com as the best high school player ever to sign with the Scarlet Knights. Projected to play end, he is the son of former New York Giants lineman Keith Hamilton.
