HIGHTSTOWN — The president of the Robbinsville Board of Education was arrested on Sunday and charged with driving infractions including driving while nitoxicated.

Police reported 45-year-old Matthew O'Grady was stopped on South Main Street around 8:30 p.m. In addition to DWI, O'Grady is also charged with failure to stop, reckless driving, and refusal to submit breath samples.

O'Grady was also charged with DWI in a school zone because the stop happened close to Peddie School and Hightstown High School.

According to NJ.com, O'Grady was first appointed to the board in 2007 and won elections in 2008 and 2011. He resigned in July of 2011 for a job in Ohio but came back the next year. NJ.com said O'Grady has been president of the board since 2015.

Messages by NJ1015.com to O'Grady seeking comment have not yet been returned. O'Grady was released from custody after his arrest pending a future court date.
