Word that Incarcerated Housewife of New Jersey Teresa Giudice is returning to the show in the form of a special in October was met with anger on Twitter from many — but anticipation from a few show fans.

In a post on the Bravo website, the three-part special
Real Housewives of New Jersey Teresa Checks In will focus on how her husband Joe Giudice is handling being responsible for raising their daughters and taking care of their household while she serves out a 15-month jail sentence on fraud charges at the federal prison in Danbury, Conn.

Teresa appears in the special via phone calls from prison, called "check in" calls, and also through family trips to Connecticut.

"He tries hard but it's rough without my mom," oldest daughter Gia tells her aunt, Melissa Gorga in the trailer, which cuts to Joe doing the laundry, chasing daughter Miliana riding an ATV and warning Gia's eighth prom date to not dance too close as he fishes his cell phone out of a pond.

"It's hard keeping up with all these kids. I'm doing a lot. ... I think I lost 10 pounds," muses Joe Giudice.

The family gathers for a "check in" call from Teresa and while the conversation isn't revealed, Joe laughs: "It's amazing how she still controls everything from in there."

Later, she asks for a blessing for the family and Joe's possible deportation back to Italy looms over the family.
