Re-funding the Transportation Trust Fund
The State is going ahead with the unconstitutional borrowing of 1.3 billion dollars to replenish the Transportation Trust Fund, which was pilfered dry by politicians. Our children will have to pay back four times that much over the years. They could be saved the burden if we added a few cents to the gasoline tax. But a politician cannot see beyond the next election. And to them, the word "tax" is anathema.
