Prosecutor: Couple’s deaths ruled murder-suicide
JEFFERSON (AP) — The deaths of a northern New Jersey couple whose bodies were found inside their home last weekend have been ruled a murder-suicide.
Knapp said the investigation revealed 45-year-old Julian Knott shot his 47-year-old wife, Alita Knott, "multiple times" before killing himself with the same weapon. But Knapp declined to comment on a possible motive or disclose further details on the incident.
Jefferson Township police found the bodies early Sunday when they responded to a report of two unconscious adults at the Log Road residence. The couple, who had two teenage sons and a college-age daughter, had bought the home earlier this year.
