Two people were killed when a fast-moving fire destroyed a home in southern New Jersey.

Atlantic County Prosecutor Ted Housel says 75-year-old Ralph Spinosi and 68-year-old Jessica Spinosi were trapped inside their two-story Margate home and could not escape when the fire broke out shortly before 2 a.m. Saturday. Their bodies were found on the second floor.

But the home's other resident, 54-year-old Donna Saber, was able to safely escape the heavy flames.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. And authorities have not yet determined what caused the victims' deaths It was not immediately clear if any of the three residents were related, though officials believe the Spinosis were married.
