The non-politicians now all sit atop of the Republican presidential field, according to a new CNN/ORC International poll that was taken in the days after the Sept. 16 debate.

Donald Trump continues to have a commanding lead, with 24 percent support. Former Hewlett Packard businesswoman Carly Fiorina got the biggest boost from the debate, surging to second place with 15 percent of the vote. Ben Carson is at 14 percent.

That means that 53 percent of likely Republican voters support someone who has never held political office.

The remainder of the crowded GOP filed has only Florida U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio in double digits.

Despite a strong debate performance, Christie remains at the bottom of the pack with only 3 percent support.  That puts him in ninth place. Christie received 2 percent support in CNN's pre-debate survey.

A majority of those polled think Fiorina had the best debate performance, followed by Rubio, Trump and Christie.
