The first day of May is accompanied with pleasant weather, and it seems to be persistent for the rest of the work week and into the weekend.

The Month of April

For New Brunswick,  the month of April ended with a cumulative temperature departure of 58 degrees.

This was probably due to 5 days of having more than a +10 degree temperature departure, since there were 14 days that either had a 0 or negative temperature departure.

The Month of May

The average temperature in New Jersey for the month of May is about 70 degrees. It seems like today, in terms of temperature, will be about average.

For much of New Jersey, temperatures are expected to be in the upper 60s and low 70s. It will be slightly cooler by the shore, as a sea breeze will generally prevent the temperatures from being too high.

According to the National Weather Service, a surface high pressure will expand across our region today and then persist through the weekend.

The weather for the rest of the week is expected to be warm and pleasant. Temperatures will be in the mid 60s to low 70s.

For a second weekend in a row, we will see warm weather as temperatures will be in the 70s.

Also, rain is not expected in the forecast until mid-week next week.
