One minor injury was reported in the accident, which occurred Saturday night at the Cranbury Pizza shop in Cranbury Township.

Pizzeria owner Bob Huegel told NJ.com (http://bit.ly/1PUUUNB) that the truck initially struck a passing car before it crashed into tables, chairs and the railing along the restaurant's front steps. A child who was sitting there suffered undisclosed minor injuries and was taken to a hospital for observation.

Huegel says the patrons were able to react quickly because they heard the first crash.

It wasn't clear Sunday how many people were in the pickup truck when it crashed.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
