The Reds completed their first sweep of the Phillies since 1996.

First, they finished their game suspended overnight by rain. Phillippe Aumont (1-2) picked the game up in the bottom of the ninth and gave up Bruce's bases-loaded single only four batters later.

Bruce's other bases-loaded single -- also to right field -- highlighted a five-run second inning off left-hander John Lannan (0-1) in the regularly scheduled game. Reds starter Mike Leake (1-2) drove in a run with his first career triple during the decisive 10-batter rally and finished with three hits.
