The Associated Press made a bit of a Boo-Boo.

Anyone eagle-eyed and with access to an Associated Press newsfeed at 2:37 a.m. spotted an odd bulletin from the news service: "New York Yankees Hall of Fame catcher Yogi Bear has died. He was 90."

Of course, what really happened was that Yogi Berra, one of baseball's greatest (and most quotable) players and personalities had died.  The error was repeated in countless publications all over the globe, including the Las Vegas Sun and the News-Sentinel (as of 9:30 a.m., a post from the former with the typo is still up).

But we like to think Mr. "Always go to other people's funerals, otherwise they won't come to yours" would have taken the goof in good humor.
