MiKayla Witt of Marlton was on the Speedway race car ride on the Gillian's Wonderland Pier on Sunday when she was tossed out of the ride and her foot got caught, dragging her down the ride's platform her mother Tiffany tells WPVI TV. Her uncle says the car needed to be lifted in order to free the girl.

MiKayla's ankle is in a a cast and will see an orthopedist.

A New Jersey Department of Community Affairs investigation concluded there was no mechanical problems with the ride when the accident occurred because of the actions of the unidentified person running the ride. WPVI TV reports the operator has been fired.

It's not known if the operator or Wonderland Pier's owners will face more charges or penalty.
