President Barack Obama and the first lady have paid tribute to fallen soldiers today, walking along the Fort Stewart Warriors Walk in Georgia.

It's a wide path lined with 441 memorial trees. The base of each tree bears a granite marker with a soldier's name.

The president is signing an order aimed at protecting veterans and military families from being swindled by schools looking to get the soldiers' federal education benefits.

There have been growing complaints about fraudulent marketing and recruiting practices aimed at military families eligible for federal education aid under the GI Bill.

 

 

As part of the effort to counter that, the administration wants to trademark the term "GI Bill."
