Two people were killed, including a woman from Hunterdon County, when a pickup truck she was riding in overturned in Pennsylvania on Saturday.

Pennsylvania State Police said the black Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Howard Brown, 47, from Saylorsburg, Pa., went off Kunkletown Road in Ross Township  and down an embankment. It came to rest in thick brush and was partially submerged in water.

Brown was thrown from the vehicle while his passenger, Tara Hallingse, 39, from Lebanon, was still in the truck when first responders arrived, according to police. Authorities said Brown was wearing a seat belt while Hallingse was not.

The coroner said the pickup may have gone off the road on Friday night but was not found until Saturday afternoon.

Hallingse was a long time members of the Hunterdon County Pool League according to their Facebook page. "Her upbeat, fun attitude was contagious and she will truly be missed," Molly Morton-Esposito shared with the group.
