A woman voting in Morris County said she was told by poll workers there were separate voting machines for Democrats and Republicans.

"The gentleman did say, 'If you're Republican, we'd like you to go here; Democrat, here," she told NBC 4 New York. "I said, 'I don't think that's right, I don't think I have to declare my party.'"

Allison Gillen said she filed a complaint with the Morris County Board of Elections, which told the station its personnel spoke with the poll workers and believe they were confused over the difference between primary elections, which are by party, and general elections.

Gillen, however, said she was told by an election that it was to help tally votes. And I said, 'I don't think that's true.' These are electronic voting machines."

More than 120 deputies from the New Jersey state Attorney General's office were ready around the state to make sure the election was fair "and make sure we preserve the integrity of the election process,” acting .
