NJ Transit has restored service on a portion of the Montclair-Boonton line after a trespasser was struck on the tracks.

Service was suspended in both directions between Hackettstown and Penn Station New York around 7:30 a.m. as the incident was investigated in Upper Montclair.

The unidentified man was hit by a train carrying 400 passengers at Laurel Place according to the Star Ledger.
