Delays on NJ Transit's Northeast Corridor line between Metropark and Trenton have improved as service is restored to several stations being skipped.

Westbound trains are stopping again in Metuchen, Edison or New Brunswick with delays of 20-30 minutes according to NJ Transit.  Eastbound trains face 10-15 minute delays.

The afternoon commute began with westbound delays of up to 2 hours between Metropark and Trenton.

Suburban bus service is cross honoring for passengers still at the Port Authority for travel to New Brunswick.

An overhead wire problem is being blamed for the earlier problem .A passenger on board a delayed NJ Transit train in Linden tells Townsquare Media NJ that a wire fell on to the rails and an Amtrak train needs to be backed out of the area.
