NJ man gets $600K after slipping on ice in Barnes & Noble lot
FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP — A man who says he broke his ankle after slipping on ice in the Barnes & Noble parking lot will receive just over $600,000 in a settlement with the contractor responsible for clearing the lot.
The New Jersey Law Journal reported that 36-year-old Reid Malvin, of Monroe, required four surgeries after the incident in February 2015. The operations included repairing a fractured ankle, torn ligaments, treating a ganglion cyst, and the aggravation of a pre-existing herniated disk.
The settlement was reached with P.O.B. Contracting.
