A cracked windshield forced a Newark-bound United Airlines flight to make an emergency landing in Canada on Thursday morning

Flight 162 from Glasgow, Scotland was diverted to Gander International Airport in Newfoundland, Canada because of a cracked windshield and landed around 10:45 eastern time according to NBC 4 New York. There were no injuries on board the Boeing 757 jet because of the windshield.

164 passengers on board are waiting for a new plane to arrive to continue their trip to Newark.
