New PAC Hammers Christie

A new so-called “super political action committee” created by Democratic Governors is targeting New Jersey Governor Chris Chrisie in its first ads on the internet.

DGA Action, “super” because there is no limit on the amount of money it can spend, is  running ads on websites via a company that searches out content on the Governor and places their ad. Their costs are

“Online outreach is an important part of DGA efforts to highlight Republican governors’ failed leadership,” DGA spokeswoman Kate Hansen tells the Star Ledger. “Chris Christie’s disastrous record is a prime example — offering up plenty of blustering rhetoric while killing jobs, failing to bring down New Jersey’s unemployment rate, and lagging 47 out of 50 states in economic growth.”

Christie spokesman Michael Drewniak, called the ad campaign “ridiculous” and noted that DGA Action’s biggest donors are national teacher unions — longtime opponents the Governor.

 

Christie, who is on his summer vacation,  this weekend is attending meetings of the National Governors Association and Republican Governors Association. He then hits the road for several days of fundraising starting Tuesday in Atlanta. He’ll also appear in South Carolina; North Carolina and  Washington, D.C.
