Highest temperatures Thursday reached 86 or 87; 87 at Newark Liberty Airport was the top number yesterday.

The normal high is about 83, so we are just a shade above normal.

Today, partially sunny with highs in the mid to upper 80s, but cooler at the beaches.  Now, yesterday there was an isolated thunderstorm that developed near Gloucester County.  That's not to say that far Southern New Jersey might not have an isolated shower or thunderstorm, but not worth mentioning in the forecast.

Partly to mostly cloudy tonight with temperatures in the 60s generally, low 70s in urban and coastal areas.

Mostly cloudy tomorrow with a few passing showers possible in parts of the state.  Central and Southern New Jersey are more of a candidate than north of Route 78 tomorrow.  Highs Saturday in the low 80s, but 70s near the ocean.

There's the chance of a few morning showers on Sunday, then partly cloudy with temperatures in the lower 80s and cooler again at the beaches.

Isaac continues to slowly strengthen, but that strengthening will be stopped while it interacts with Haiti and parts of Cuba.  It will threaten parts of Southern Florida in the days ahead.
