GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) — Police are searching for a vehicle that took off after hitting a pedestrian in Gloucester Township.

Police say 23-year-old Kevin Trant of Gloucester Township was walking along Sicklerville Road near a shopping center when he was struck around 10 p.m. Sunday.

Police say Trant is in critical but stable condition at Cooper Hospital Trauma Center in Camden with broken bones and a punctured lung.

Police believe the car fled on Sicklerville Road toward Route 42. Police say the car may have front end or windshield damage.
