A 24-year-old man was found lying injured on Route 15 early Saturday. He was pronounced dead a short time later.

Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp and Chief William Craig of the Jefferson Township Police Department are seeking information from the public concerning the incident the prosecutor's office said.

At about 4 a.m., a passerby reported observing a person lying in the roadway on Route 15 North, near Edison Road in Jefferson Township, it said. Police found an injured male who appeared to have been struck by an unknown vehicle, the prosecutor's office siad.

The man was transported to St. Clare's Dover Campus, where he was pronounced dead.

The man has been identified as Michael Adams 24, of Jefferson.
