High temperatures Monday reached the low 80s; 82 in Atlantic City and Newark.

Newark had about a half inch of rain fall, but Atlantic City had almost an inch and a half in heavy downpours yesterday afternoon.

Today, we'll have to watch for a few showers or a thunderstorm until about lunchtime.  Then, some sunshine this afternoon with slowly lowering humidity.  Highs will be well into the 80s today.

Mostly clear and more comfortable tonight with some lows in the 60s, even a few 50s in the coolest spots, and closer to 70 along the south coast.

Mainly sunny with very low humidity tomorrow.  Wednesday's high will be in the low 80s, but 70s at the beaches.

Sunny and pleasant weather continues Thursday.  Thursday's highs again in the lower 80s, but still cooler near the ocean.

It looks like it will really be warming up as we get to the end of the work week and the start of the weekend.

The question remains whether we have a shower or thunderstorm threat as early as Saturday, or if it holds off until Labor Day.  I'm not sure about this just yet.
