Light Snow, Rain Falling Around New Jersey
A wintry mix of precipitation is falling around New Jersey on Tuesday.
The worst of the snow is expected to be in Hunterdon, Somerset, Morris, Sussex, & Warren counties where the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory in effect until 7PM.
As of 1:30PM snow totals around New Jersey range from 2 inches in Whitehouse Station, 1.8 inches in Skillman 3.4 inches in Wantage to a third of an inch in Ewing.
Snow began falling early Tuesday morning and changed to a wintry mix in central & southern areas. Precipitation should end as snow in all areas this evening.
Forecasters expect 2-4 inches of snow to accumulate in northern counties north of I-78 and less than an inch elsewhere before ending tonight.
New Jersey Transit will offer system wide cross-honoring on Tuesday. Customers will be able to use their tickets or passes on buses, trains and light rail.
NJ Transit trains remain on modified schedules because of Superstorm Sandy.
