A number of fire crews from around Morris County battled fire created by burning mulch at Nature's Choice on Route 46 in Ledgewood that broke out just before 4 a.m. according to the Star-Ledger.

The New Jersey Forest Fire Service was also on standby.

The fire is under control but a haze still hangs in the air along with a smell.

Route 46 early Wednesday morning was said to be completely covered by smoke near where it merges with Route 10. Commuters traveling along Route 80 between exits 28 and 30 are also experiencing limited visibility. Traffic anchor Bob Williams said the fire did not cause any big delays.

The company's Ledgewood location, which used to be known as Stump Factory, has five locations around New Jersey for disposal of yard waste according to its website. They also act as pick-up locations for organic landscape products with an additional 5 sites for production operations

The smoke is not widespread due to a light wind and is hanging over the area.
