Canada-based developer Triple Five sued the Giants and Jets in July. It accused them of trying to stop the American Dream megamall from being completed at the Meadowlands sports complex

State Superior Court Peter Doyne on Monday rejected the teams' motion to dismiss the lawsuit.

The Jets and Giants have also sued the developer and the state's sports authority. The teams say those parties violated a 2006 agreement by expanding the mall's original design without their approval.

The mall originally known as Xanadu was supposed to open in 2007 but has been delayed by money woes and litigation.
