JERSEY CITY — Authorities say an early morning collision involving a police cruiser left two Jersey City officers injured.

The crash on Routes 1 and 9 was reported around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The officers apparently were attempting to stop a car whose driver refused to pull over when another vehicle collided with the cruiser. The impact sent the cruiser onto the median.

The officers were being treated at a hospital for undisclosed injuries. The driver of the vehicle that collided with the cruiser declined medical treatment at the scene.

It's not clear what happened with the vehicle that the officers were pursuing.
