An event in Newark this morning served as the official launch of ManufactureNJ Week, five days of special focus on the state's manufacturing industry.

Lieutenant Governor Kim Guadagno was joined on the New Jersey Institute of Technology campus by officials from the state Department of Labor and Workforce Development and members of the state's manufacturing talent network.

A number of events are scheduled for each day through Friday, across the state, raising awareness of the industry as a key source of employment and economic prosperity.

 

According to press release from the state, ManufactureNJ Week will provide an opportunity for students, educators and policy makers to meet face-to-face with the state’s manufacturing industry through company tours, roundtable discussions and other events.
