Is Urban Violence Commission a Good Idea? [POLL]

The legislators in the 38th district want to form a commission to combat the violence that has plagued Newark.

Downtown Newark (Rutgers)

Senator Ron Rice, and Assembly members Cleopatra Tucker and Ralph Caputo want to create a commission to study urban violence across the state. The goal is to end violence in urban municipalities. The panel would report their findings to the governor on a 6-month, 1-year and 18 month basis.

Would a commission be the solution to end violence though? Will the findings over what would be an 18-moth study really do any good towards ending finding a resolution?
