One of the Lottery retailers that sold a winning ticket worth $50,000 in the massive Powerball jackpot drawing earlier this week is considered by its customers to be among luckiest in New Jersey.

M-S Grocery on Montgomery Avenue in Jersey City has a reputation as the "lucky store" the store's owner, Mohammad Riaz Khan told NJ Advance Media.

The store sold two instant win tickets in the past year worth $1 million, plus many $500 and $1,000 winners, according to the report.

A $50,000 ticket was sold at the store just hours before Wednesday's historic $1.5 billion Powerball drawing, the report said. The winner picked four of the five numbers, and the Powerball, it said.

Khan told the newspaper that the people will come back to his store to play their numbers after moving away.

Khan and his cousin Mohhamad Bashir opened the store in 1988 and runs two lottery machines.
