Is It Hopeless Yet?! NJ Trying to Revamp Sick Time Rules For Government Workers

Today we touched on a story about perks of certain jobs and how the state is trying to rein in cash payouts for accrued sick time. Something that just doesn't happen in the private sector and doesn't even happen that often in public employment outside of NEW JERSEY.

Again, nothing against our fortunate brethren in the public employ, congratulations, but this is beyond unsustainable and needs to change in the future, if we are to have a future here. A friend must have been listening and sent me this quote:

"The problems we face today are there because the people who work for a living are outnumbered by those who vote for a living"

I think that just about sums it up here in the great Garden State!
