Our own Dan Zarrow likes to take an understated, measured approach to weather forecasting. He's careful not to overplay a storm or get too ahead of reliable information with his predictions.

We love that calm and careful tone. But there's also something to be said for Frankie MacDonald's exuberance.

Frankie's been an Internet sensation for years. The Canadian amateur weatherman from Nova Scotia, an individual with autism, has racked up more than 15 million views on YouTube for his forecasts about major weather events. His prediction of this weekend's snow in New Jersey, seen above, is nearly 60,000 views alone.

Frankie's never gone for subtle in his reports — but then again, he targets big-deal weather. And as Dan Zarrow's been reminding us, this weekend's storm certainly qualifies.

It's going to bring whiteout conditions, Massive snow drifts, Blown snow and drifting snow as well!" Frankie warns in the video. "People in New Jersey: Be prepared!"

"Order pizza, order Chinese food, buy cases of Pepsi, buy cases of Coke!" Frankie advises. "Do your grocery shopping. Don't wait 'till the last minute! Do it right now!"

Seems like sound enough advice to us.
