NJ.com reports Mount Olive police began the search around 1:30 p.m. Sunday after receiving a call from the hiker who reported she was unable to find her way out of the 805-acre park.

Sgt. Mike Cordileone says members of the Budd Lake Fire Department, Budd Lake First Aid Squad, Morris County Sheriff's Office K-9 Unit and New Jersey State Park Police joined in the search.

Cordileone says the woman, who is visiting the United States from Denmark, was found after three hours.

She was evaluated by EMTs and brought back to her car in the parking lot.

Cordileone says the woman was found "tired and thirsty, but otherwise ok."
