State Police are searching for a man who they say stole $300 worth of baby powder from a supermarket in Cape May County and then ran into the woods.

The alleged theft took place April 13 at about 3:17 p.m. at the ShopRite in Upper Township.

Police say the suspect, a white male "wearing a dark blue 'RLX' T-shirt over a long black-sleeved shirt, jeans and black sneakers," allegedly grabbed several containers of baby powder and stuffed them into a purple duffel bag. He then walked out of the store and ran into a nearby wooded area, police said.

An image of the alleged suspect was caught on a store video surveillance camera and State Police are asking anyone with information about the suspect or incident to contact the Woodbine Station at 609-861-5698. Anonymous tips are welcome.

"This pics are fairly clear, so once again we have high hopes for a quick ID and arrest," State Police said on their Facebook page.
