A Harvard University student who fell from a building in Boston over the weekend has died.

Harvard officials say Andrew Sun died at a Boston hospital at about 4 a.m. Monday. Sun was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital with critical injuries after the fall Sunday morning from a building near the New England Aquarium reports WCVB TV.

Boston Police tell the station they investigating a fall at 240 Atlantic Avenue but would not disclose further details.

The Harvard Crimson reports that Sun suffered "extremely serious injuries" and was on life support following surgery. His parents and aunt were with him when he died.

Sun was a member of the class of 2012 at Montville Township High School in Morris County according to the Star-Ledger. He was a member a resident of Pforzheimer House. The Harvard Crimson reports that Sun was an economics major.
